Emerson Radio Corporation was founded in 1948 and is one of the largest volume consumer electronics manufacturers in the United States. Emerson products include televisions, DVD players, home audio equipment, home theater systems, office electronics, mobile stereos, wireless devices and microwave ovens. Emerson specializes in small to average microwave oven designs from 0.6 cubic feet to 1.1 cubic feet.

Emmerson's small 0.6 cubic foot countertop design is an excellent choice for kitchens or areas with limited space such as dorm rooms or break rooms. This compact design has 10 power levels and 6 pre-programmed recipes for items such as popcorn, pizza and fresh vegetables. Output power for this unit is 600 watts. This unit is available in black and white.

Emmerson's 0.9 cubic foot design features their OmniWave Cooking System that cooks faster and more uniformly. This model includes a removable glass turntable. Power output is 900 watts. It is available in both black and white.

The Emmerson 1.0 cubic foot model has a unique touch-control keyboard that is hidden behind a door for a sleek, clean appearance. This unit includes Emmerson's OmniWave Cooking System as well as an auto defrost feature. Power output for this model is 1,100 watts.

Emmerson makes a few different 1.1 cubic foot models. Each of these models features ten power levels and 1,000 watts of cooking power. They are CUL listed and each comes with a child-safe lock-out feature. These models have eight one-touch settings for commonly heated items such as popcorn, beverages, muffins, frozen pizza, baked potatoes, frozen dinners and fresh vegetables. They also have an auto weight defrost feature. All come standard with a glass turntable. There are two models available with a stainless steel finish, two models available with a white finish and one model available with a black finish.
